Limerick Township Parks & Recreation

is hosting the

SFBB 2012 Outdoor Summer Basketball League

Mission: The mission of the SFBB Summer League is to promote teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play.  We are running this league to promote basketball as a year-round sport and to ensure a successful community program for our children. 

LOCATION! Limerick Community Park (home of Manderach Playground.)

Age groups: The league is open to boys and girls from ages 9-16.  There will be a 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-16 yr old divisions for both boys and girls. WE WILL ONLY PLACE FAMILY MEMBERS ON THE SAME TEAM THIS YEAR. 

Fee: $100.00 per player. (indicate that you are a SYFAL Basketball player for the 2011-2012 season and receive $5 off your fee)

Your fee assures you: at least 9 games depending on number of participants, team t-shirt for each paid participant, PIAA official for each game, insurance, timers/scorekeepers, and basketballs.  Season will run from June 4 – July 20 (Includes make up dates due to weather) 

Registration: How to register?  (Registration is open March 1^st  – April 30^th)

Games will be played Monday through Thursday nights.  Game times 5:45, 6:35 and 7:25 PM.  There are NO practices. You will be placed on a team. and will show up and play on your designated nights.

Coaches: We will be taking volunteers for coaches.  We will have a coaches meeting where we will be discussing issues such as parking, sportsmanship, and game schedules.  You can volunteer by sending an email to let us know you are interested.

Rec League Information 

Rec Notes: 

•  The Season just finished up.  There were so many exciting games in the playoffs

Travel Divisions

Designed for the more advanced player who is seeking to play in a more competitive environment. Typically involves 2 practices & 1 game per week. Travel area includes Montgomery and Bucks counties. Team try-outs are required.

• Boys Grades 3-9

• Girls Grades 4-8

• Fees estimated to be approximately $250-275/player

Intramural/Rec Divisions

Local program for the player looking to develop their skills and enjoy the game of basketball while competing against their fellow SF classmates. Typically 1 practice and 1 game per week.

• Boys Grades 1-12

• Girls Grades 1-10

• Fees = $100/player ($5 discount for each additional player with a family max of $275)
